ocated in Repulse Bay, Hong Kong, Repulse Bay Residence is a high-end residential interior design project set within a duplex apartment in a high-rise building. Designed for a family with grown-up children, the renovation focused on the first floor of the home, including the entry hall, living areas, study and powder room, delivered carefully in separate stages. The brief was to create an elegant Asian Art Deco inspired residence that could accommodate the clients’ rich collection of artwork and antique furniture while bringing greater flow, presence and architectural character to the home. A new curvilinear staircase replaced the original small and awkwardly positioned stair, becoming a sculptural focal point that connects the interiors with grace and intention. Layered materials, refined detailing and considered spatial planning give the residence a sophisticated sense of arrival, balancing timeless glamour, personal history and contemporary family living.
