Exploring the full potential of the property through considered space planning options, then working closely with the client to shape the strongest direction. This stage defines the overall design vision, spatial approach, atmosphere, material palette, and key interior ideas.

Refining the interior design in greater detail, including finishes, fixtures, joinery, lighting, furniture direction, and interior architecture elements. This stage also includea a 3D model and walkthrough to help clients clearly visualise the design direction.

Preparing the drawings, schedules, specifications, and design information required to communicate the design clearly to builders, cabinetmakers, consultants, and collaborators.

Supporting the transition from design to construction, including builder, cabinetmaker, supplier, and consultant coordination, tender support where required, and detailed design clarification before works commence.

Providing ongoing interior design support through key stages of construction, including site visits, meetings with the construction team, review of details, and guidance to help protect the design intent.

FF&E design, styling and art curation can be included as an optional stage, tailored to the level of support each client requires. This may include furniture and lighting sourcing, procurement, artwork and object curation, vintage or overseas item sourcing, installation management and final styling. We are equally happy to review existing furniture and meaningful pieces, working them into the broader interior design vision so the final layers feel considered, personal and beautifully resolved.

Where required, and depending on the nature of the project, our involvement can extend to architectural and facade design direction, as well as landscape design coordination. This optional, project-specific support ensures the broader vision of the home remains clear, cohesive and carefully resolved from concept to completion.
FF&E DESIGN, STYLING & ART CURATION
Furniture, lighting, art and object curation for a resolved and layered interior.
We offer two levels of support:
Full-service sourcing, procurement, logistics, installation and styling
Detailed sourcing schedule for clients managing procurement independently
Both options are guided by the same design direction, attention to detail and standard of finish.
A three hours, private design session with our principal designer.
Tailored to your project, the session may include:
Spatial planning and layout direction
Material, finish and colour guidance
Furniture, lighting and art direction
Concept design direction
Budget planning and value engineering
Guidance on architects, builders and consultants
Following the session, you will receive a written summary outlining the key directions, decisions and recommendations discussed.
Should you proceed with a full design package, the Atelier Advisory fee is redeemed in full against your project investment.

We establish the FF&E design direction, furnishing concept, colour palette and interior styling approach, defining how each layer should feel, function and belong within the broader residential interior design vision.
From there, we curate furniture, decorative lighting, rugs, artwork and objects with intention, bringing cohesion, depth and personality to high-end homes, renovations and new builds.

We prepare detailed furniture schedules, supplier details, finishes, dimensions, pricing guidance and sourcing notes, giving clients a clear path from selection to procurement.
Where required, this stage may also include assisted showroom visits to review furniture, materials, decorative lighting, rugs and artwork in person, ensuring each piece supports the broader interior design vision.

We assist with furniture procurement, supplier coordination, ordering, lead times, delivery planning and installation requirements, ensuring each selected piece is managed with clarity and aligned with the broader FF&E design and interior styling vision.

We provide final interior styling direction and on-site installation support, bringing furniture, art, lighting and objects together with balance and intention. This may include art procurement, artwork placement, object styling and final layer detailing, creating a home that feels layered, collected and resolved.

At what stage should I engage an interior designer for my project?

The earlier the better, and ideally before floor plans, builder quotes, cabinetry layouts, lighting, electrical and key finishes are locked in. Early engagement is one of the most valuable investments you can make in a residential project. It allows us to shape the home from the inside out, ensuring spatial flow, materiality, atmosphere and detail are considered together rather than resolved in isolation. It also helps avoid the costly rework that comes from making design decisions too late in the process.
How much does it cost to work with an interior designer ?

Fees vary depending on the scale, scope and complexity of the project. We discuss this transparently at the very beginning of our process and tailor every design package to the level of involvement, detail and outcome the project requires. Rather than a fixed fee structure, we believe in a considered conversation first, so that what we propose reflects what your project actually needs. Do you work with your own architect, builder or consultants?

We are not tied to any one architect, builder or consultant team, which means our recommendations are always made in the best interest of your project. Depending on the nature and scale of the work, we can introduce you to trusted professionals from our network, or work seamlessly alongside your existing architect, builder, draftsperson and wider project team. Our role is always to ensure the right people are around the table and that every collaborator is working toward the same vision.
Do you provide architectural or landscape design direction?

With a background in architecture, our approach naturally considers the home as a whole rather than room by room. Depending on the scale and nature of the project, we provide architectural and landscape design direction where it supports a more cohesive living concept. We believe the best homes are the ones where interior, architecture and landscape speak the same language, and we bring that holistic thinking to every project we take on.
What level of documentation do you provide?

The level of documentation is tailored to the design package selected and the support your project requires. We can provide a full construction documentation set covering every detail of the design intent, or bring the documentation to a builder costing level with enough precision to price and execute the work clearly. Either way, our documentation is thorough, considered and designed to give your builder and trades complete clarity at every stage of construction.
